Birds 4 Mounting

What is known today as Blonhaven Game Farm Corp. was founded in central Rock County in 1941 by George and Angeline "Blondie" Clark, thus the name Blonde-Haven. When they moved to their Milton location in 1945, the name evolved into Blonhaven. George and Angeline soon began breeding, hatching and raising pheasants for liberation and hunting.

Blonhaven Game Farm

In 1953, Angeline was left a widow with two small children (Jimmy five months and Carolyn four years) and soon opened the first commercial hunting preserve in the state of Wisconsin and one of the first in the country. She operated it by herself for four years, keeping Carolyn out of school at times to help and hanging little Jimmy on the fence for hours while she cared for the birds. The legend goes that the bank kept sending blue, past due mortgage slips to the farm and the family burned these to stay warm at night. Angeline married Don Millis in 1956 and little by little the farm grew. In 1959 and then in 1963 Jim's two brothers, Don and Bill, were born. In 1978, Jim was able to purchase the farm from his parents and the business grew by leaps and bounds.

Ringneck Pheasants

In 1986, Blonhaven began purchasing day old chicks. The hunting increased from 2,000 birds to 12,000 birds released in 1998. In 1999 the hunting operation was spun off to a piece of land in Orfordville , Wisconsin , and Blonhaven Hunt Club was established. All the while pheasant production continued to grow. It is with much satisfaction to the family that Angeline was able to see the vast improvements and growth to the farm she started before her passing in June of 2001.

In 2006 the Hunt Club was sold so Jim could concentrate solely on the Game Farm. Today, Blonhaven Game Farm boasts production of over 100,000 pheasants yearly supplying some of the finest hunt clubs in the country with quality flight pheasants as well as high end taxidermy specimens to taxidermist through the US . Jim has been recognized as an industry leader and has developed and shared many new innovations with the entire game bird business.
