Birds on this page are represenative of what you can expect for the different grades.
At Blonhaven Game Farm, we have been producing quality flight pheasants since 1941. In 1979, we began setting aside our very best for the taxidermy market. At the time of final selection, all birds are completely inspected for feather conformation, full fans, full wings and most importantly, for tightness of feathers throughout. Through the years, we have developed a grading system that allows each taxidermist an opportunity to select the quality and price range best suited for their use.
Pheasants are graded on TAIL AND WING FEATHER QUALITY ONLY. They meet the same high standards in all other aspects.
COMPETITION GRADE: Simply the best. Smooth feathers throughout–“Coffee Table Birds” $44.00
GRADE #1 PLUS: These almost made competition grade, but I noticed a small flaw in the wing or tail. Better than Grade 1. $38.00
GRADE #1: A minimum of chips on the inside of the tail feathers and tips of the wings. EXCELLENT FOR FLYING MOUNTS! $32.00
GRADE #2: May have some chips on the outside of the tail feathers and wing tips. They also may have a broken wing feather or two. SOME can make a flying mount but BEST SUITED FOR STANDING MOUNTS. $24.00
GRADE #3: These have LARGER chips in the tail feathers, some as large as a quarter and will have BIGGER CHIPS on the wings. More often than not, they will have several broken wing feathers. These make good standing mounts and are often sold to schools and beginners. $20.00
Also available Ringneck hens, Melanistic Mutant, and Kansas Ringnecks.
There will be no quantity breaks for competition and grade 1 plus .
Hungarian Partridge on Special Order $26.00 each

Quantity breaks, pheasants: 12 or more, deduct $3.00 each.
We ship via FedEx & UPS throughout the US and Canada 12 months of the year, subject to availability.
In addition to shipping there is a $10.00 handling charge per package.
